Re: Three Emus Three Orchids One Bee Sting Ride

Great ride, Bozo, thank you muchly, and good company, except for the bee. Might have stung Peter Bee if I hadn't been there. First time to take one in the belly, through three tight layers of gear. On the way home, stopped off to see some Azaleas in a garden in Waterford.

Journey to east coast

Appealing to all members contemplating heading over east and returning in the next few months (or leaving east coast and returning shortly after). I have a /5 frame in Sydney and Ross C has a sidecar frame in Hamilton, Vic. I have a sidecar frame and boat in Rockingham which have to go to Sydney. Bo...

Sort of a humdrum damp run for dyed-in-the-wool Englishman, DFS. The rain was unable to dampen our spirits

Munty Pub Scrimmage 24 June

Unfortunately, I can't make the very worthwhile Sunseeker trip to Gero, this weekend, as I'm working on the Friday. However, I am leading a small off road ride via York to Muntadgin for the night (Saturday) If you are not going on the Sunseeker ride, you are welcome to join. You could even go by bla...

Re: Start you BMW

Should be the 8 pin relay under the tank (I may have a spare) or else the starter itself is playing up. They can be fixed at Bosch autoelectrics, or Sound Autoelectrics in Rockingham. Guy may have some starter parts lying around or the sage, Mike Firth

Re: Thursday Ride January 12 Mojos Mundaring

I arrived at Mojos at about 8.30, via Mundaring Weir, when I realised that I would never make the Gloria Jeans deadline. Some punters had already fronted up at Mojos and were ordering pastries and hot coffees within titanium studded, endurolast, ceramic embedded vessels. Counter intelligence reports...

K100 final drive conversion. DON'T DO IT!

Bertie down the road is sick of his Bumblebee acting like a sewing machine when it’s going down a highway. He’s got an RS and an RT as well, so he knows what the revs should be at 120 on a highway. So he buys a “longer 5th” for the bumblebee. In so doing he plants a seed in my mind, that is, to do s...

Re: Getting away on the Long Weekend

Thanks to Bozo for another classic BMW ride. It was amazing how quickly Bozo has adapted from possum avoidance to "instinctive sense Emu/Kangaroo/Horse float/Hay bale flotilla" We tested our winter gloves to the max and depleted a whole month's supply of citrus tart from the Blue Wren cafe...

Re: RFDS 2022 Donation

Just a heads up that there is a very large Veteran Rally travelling between Brisbane and Broome, from 18 July to 11 August. There are 21 motorcycles, 24 cars, 32 passengers and about 32 back-up drivers taking part. I am on the organising committee. We want to donate $1000 to he R.F.D.S. and would be...

Sunday Ride down to the Federal Seat of Brand

Ross Currie's ride through the contorted lanes and backstreets of metro Perth, was a welcome change for some, almost a novelty. The ANZAC cottage trip was terrific (I'm sure details of that will follow). Afterwards, Peter Spencer and Rainer Seel were feeling boisterous, so we tossed a coin between G...
