Soaking for a while in a barrel of water with lemons will rip rust off. Molasses does work and I don't know the amounts though - the vintage car boys use it all the time. I haven't tried it yet but I have '22 Minerva Tourer that is also about to get the rusty fuel tank treatment - will keep you post...

Just got back from seeing the wreath flowers They are are still stunning as are the carpets of white everlastings. Huge variety of flowers out at the moment. Worth the run!

Yes it seems bike riders are invisible to some cage drivers or should we call them bubble drivers as they often seem to be immersed in their own bubble oblivious to all around them - including the flashing lights and sirens of ambulance, police and fire trucks. Thats for the report- great to follow along - must be fascinating seeing things from a slower pace ( especially going up hill with gear shift problems) I think on a push bike I'd have gear shift problems even on flat roads.
