Maybe someone can comment: My R1200GS service indicator has come up. K's are 11900. I believe the service light has come up as a function of time rather than k's travelled because last service was at 9,800 at which point it got new oil and filter etc. I have no problem with that as I dont ride it of...

Can you confirm the departure time on Sunday just in case. Also, has anyone considered accommodation types? If its going to b...

Mundaring Weir Road is OK if you don't speed and remain alert for Skippy , (usually at the bottom of the dam on the bend) As I live in the hills I would be happoy to meet up with you as get to Midland or Kalamunda depoending on which way you choose to g...

Hi Cookie, Lefty and others, Thanks for your willingness to support me get to the border guys. I have even had one very gracious and kind offer from a member offering me the use of a motorcycle. Re: Border Run
Hi Bully,
My panniers were the standard ones from BMW. The plastic ones with expandable option. I will have to see what the insurance people say because as you know, replacing them is very expensive. Although, the car who hit me has to pay not me.

Re: Border Run
Hi Cookie, Looks like my Border Run participation has been sorted out for me. Riding home today I was hit from behind at a stop sign. I'm fine but my right hand side pannier has gone to heaven along with the mounting bracket on the bike frame. So I have no panniers for the trip and given that she wh...

Re: Border Run
Hi Cookie, and members, At this point in time I am considering the Border run as well. I just need to see if I can get the Friday and or Monday off as well. That way the run can be a bit more enjoyable with the extra day or two. If you leave on the Friday would it be easier to say meet up in Midland...
