I have one that you can have. It's just the bracket and doesn't have the GPS electrical attachment bolded to it. It's off my GSA. Send me your cell no on a Personel Message and I'll call you.

Re: Spot GPS
Can somebody recommend a dealer who sells the latest model in the Perth area AND can explain its features. What it can do and how it works and what it's limitations are?
Thanks

Re: Trip planning
I plan my trips using google maps. Knowing the range of my bike, using a very conservative number to allow for wind, extra weight and my speed etc, I look up towns within that range. I then use google search and type in "petrol at ......." ( the town I am interested in) and it usually says...

Re: RFDS Capital Fund Donation
This topic keeps popping up in various clubs I've been in. My feeling is you elect a committee to run the club so let the members plant the idea such as on this forum or put a proposal to the commitee and let the committee decide how much to donate and who to donate to. KISS. When I paid $50 to be a...

Re: Helmetreplacement
If you want check out some more info on helmets check the link below. More than 30 motorcycle helmets were belted, smashed and comfort-tested in the RTA's high-tech CrashLab in Western Sydney. You can jump to "Test Results" to search for your helmet. Not all helmets were tested. http://www...

Re: Helmetreplacement
I had a serious accident in June and was critically injured. My recollection of the accident is the impact and skidding along the road on my face. I was pretty busted up but the only major part of my body not injured was my head. The helmet was very worn down on the chin and forehead where I skidded...

Re: Recommendations on GPS
I have two GPS's Tom Tom . I like the map display on the Tom Tom but had problems with the mounting on the bike. The first one popped off on a rough road in Tassie. On the second mount the brass connections on the mount failed and the GPS would turn itself off and on. Garmin Zumo 660 . Bought this b...

Re: Far Ride to Pemberton Hotel 26th Feb 2011
Tony,
Hi Tony it was good to meet you. I enjoyed the ride despite the heat. It was actually cooler on the bike than stopping. I think on rides like that a 5 minute break more frequently for a leak and water is more effective than a 20 minute break.
Cheers

Re: Satphones
I hired one when I went riding in Africa and Namibia for a month. Depending on your level of activity in remote areas you may wish to rent rather than buy. I rented from Rent A Sat Phone in Churchill St Subiaco. I must admit I didn't do an ecomical analysis but you may wish to consider the option!

Re: Ideas on a gps
I have used a Tom Tom Rider 2 and have had problems with the mounting. I am on my second mounting and that is now not working properly. The first mounting fell apart on a corrugated dirt road in Tassie. The second mounting failed after one year and does not connect connected with the electrical powe...

Re: Nobblie Tyres
Did this happen between Norseman and Coolgardie. Both mysef and the boke I was riding with coming back from the Border Run experienced something similar. He was on a R1200RT and I was on an R1200GS. Its the first time I have experiences slipping on a sealed road travelling at what I considered a ver...
