Re: K100 FuelInj woes

Big thanks to JonO for transport help, and a tip from Goldie, the bus is back on the road (so far...) Pulling the airbbox apart & thoroughly cleaning the flow sensor connector pins (which were a little grungy - I think that was the only connector on the bike I hadn't already cleaned at some poin...

K100 FuelInj woes

...so we rode out to York this morning, and the better half says something about the RS smoking a bit - "you sure the plugs aren't fouled?" .... now it won't even start & there's fuel leaking from the headers! Seems the injectors are stuck on all the time... Anyway the bike is parked u...

smallish airhawk seat cushion

I see lots of Airhawks around, but most are pretty wide - too wide for a certain CBR seat...
Any comments on the narrower (pillion?) version? Anyone tried the newest one ("R") yet?
(or could anyone loan us either style for a weekend test?)
feedback much appreciated...

Re: K100RT fuel problem

Hi Graham - welcome to the wonderful world of the old Ks (I've owned an 85 K100RS for ~5yrs) ! This could be pretty simple - seems like most of the old ones have need of attention to the electronics connectors - I've found that mine likes an annual "pat on the head" (unplug & refit the...

bike storage... help!?!

Umm... I have to travel to points east & beyond for a month and my usual "parking" place has turned out to be unavailable for this period - is there anyone out there who would be willing to let a well-trained K100RS sleep over from this friday/saturday (Oct 7) until about Nov 9? It doe...

Re: R90/6 Non starter

Hi 10morris - I'm no R bike expert, but herding electrons is my business... Sounds like you've covered the basic tune, but something more fundamental is wrong. Now you get to check everything... you'll probably need to find at least a test lamp or voltmeter (best) to get anywhere, though I'm sure so...

Re: Christmas Ride - Laos

Hmmm - interesting, even to those of us not vertically challenged... do you plan to carry much or "live off the land" (so to speak)?
... will pass this along to the eastern half... - how soon do you need to know?

K100 starter switch???

The sun & rain have done in the plastic starter button on my '85 K100RS - just wondering if anyone knows of a salvage possiblity (any early K is the same), since the cost of a new multi-switch is 10% of the bikes value  - motivates one to somewhat extreme alternative repair approaches!
