it may take longer than you think as the only part of the road that is dedicated is the first 60kms and then the 1km or so around Tjukayirla, the rest is subject to proclamation under the AAPA. Which is why you need a permit in those areas.

Hi Guy Your bike obviously has a post 1981 gearbox with lighter flywheel than /6 and /7. The upshot is that you are limited to gearboxes that have the shorter input shaft. The area of the proposed ride, what was the old Mungilli outstation is an active community and part of the Birriliburu Indigenous Protected Area. I would suggest another site for the ride. I thought Robin had suggested Geraldton Bore.
