Well 2 of us made it up the Connie Sue to Warburton ok and then up the Heather Hwy and onto the Gunbarrel west to Mungilli. Someone here said if you get up the Connie Sue alright, the Gunbarrel will be a walk in the park. It was quite the opposite. The Connie Sue to Neal Junction was a piece of cake...

Currently sitting at Rawlinna in the muster shed. Hit the Connie Sue in the morning. Weather is a balmy 25 degrees with it forecast for 28 tomorrow here. Hope the weather holds out. Thanks for the link and information. Two of us going to give it a crack if we feel ok after the Connie Sue. Going to the border run then up to Forrest and along the Trans line,back down to Cocklebiddy for fuel, then up through ,Neil Junction to Warburton. Plan on leaving Warburton Friday morning so ...

Has anyone any knowledge of what the road is like east of Mungilli? Thinking of coming in up the Heather Hwy then along the gunbarrel. Is it a reasonable track or a tight overgrown twin track?
