Evelyn,
I used BIKENUT (http://www.bikenut.com.au/motorcycle-tr ... rvices.php) who use a generic bike transport service, to move my BMW from WA to NSW. Door to door, cost me $750 from memory, and the service was great.

Sort-of club related. NSW stop-over
Hi guys, I'm well installed in the new environment now, even took my R1150RT for a bit of a spin a few weeks ago.....been a long time. I'm hosting the BMW club from the Gold Coast to a BBQ as part of their annual dinner ride in October which passes through our little town. Well, it is a dead end act...

Re: Diagnostic tool.
For those not at the meeting this week..... I handed over a simple tool I made for the older BMW K-series and pre-R1150 series, which gives diagnostic codes. There is also an adaptor for the GS-911 diagnostic too that costs about $55 which now addresses older bikes. Just a tip that the club may want...

Re: Bike Insurance
FWIW, I've been looking at insurances for new property in the last few days. Seems the QLD floods and fires etc have given insurance companies a reason to lift everything. Strange thing is none of them actually cover for floods.....sounds like price profiteering to me.

Re: Bike Insurance
I have my cars and bike covered with Shannons, with BMW roadside assist backup. Got house with Shannons too, package deal was very recommendable. Worth a look.

Re: Bike shipping
Final summary : BMW dealer-dealer shipping is not a bad option if dealers are close by. Fergussons was door-door, for me not a bad option saving me 5-6 hours retrieval. But best of all is BIKE NUT. They have bike pallets (look at their web site) and when it comes to cost for door-door shipping, they...

Bike shipping
I know I'll cop a flogging for not riding the bike, but there are reasons I can't..... Anyway, I've been investigating shipping my bike from Perth to Northern NSW. Just thought I'd share a few of the results. BMW have a pack and ship from dealer to dealer deal, which is quite competitive. Only thing...

Re: Border Run 2011
I was going to say you've turned into a big Sissy with all them luxuries, but I need to be careful because I think my plans may have had another change and I'm likely to be NOT riding my bike on the Border run, but driving in the luxury of an Outback. Logistics guys, not for a want of trying to ride...

Yeah guys. I'm in, although I'll be driving the backup vehicle with my bike on trailer heading to the new destination. Jamie needs to co0nfiscate my passport at the border so I am not allowed back in
. I'll meet everyone at the 90 mile straight Friday night hopefully.

Moving, and Border Run extension
I am just arranging my move of business and home, anyone got good contacts for container drop, move? I need to pack it myself. Just thought I'd ask. Also, I intend doing the border run, and continuing on to my new digs in Northern NSW. Anyone else intending an extension East after the Border Run? My...

Re: Diagnostic tool.
Lefty, I found the documentation while cleaning up some stuff in my garage. Can make you another one if you haven't found it yet. I know it is down the track from your first request. Sorry. Busy.

Thx Geoff
