Noel had his hands full with a big turnout of 20 bikes to the June Tuning Day. A brace of airheads had routine diagnostics and tuning done, with valuable input from Alex, Noel, Nev and Jono. Lefty persevered with the convoluted "block of flats" topbox, which required more bushings, spacers, pins, springs, washers, circlips, widgets, gadgets and the occasional wollop with a 8 pound rubber mallet, to get the lid to open and close smoothly. DFS managed to get the PD murmuring quietly in the corner, only two beats away from total harmony (leaky hairline cracks in the headers, which rescued the bike from perfection).
Bozo and Jono beavered away on Ariel's la Boganette, bringing her to tip top shape, to be given back to Froy. Some of the idle punters were given the opportunity to hear a rambling and detailed account of the vagaries and the titivations done to Noel's breathtaking '48 HD.
Ray swooped in on his very clean K75RT and Peter S made a Charlie Chaplain, completely soundless, entry on his e bike.
An immaculate '75 curry R75/6 a smouldering, black Mystic R100 and Ross' great, silverback R100RS made a perfect backdrop to a throbbing garage of tuning and fettling. Thanks to all who participated and gave of their skills to keep the brand humming.
