Hi
Looking at a 1999 R850 R [82k km's] this arvo. Any one with feedback or comments regarding the bike - issues, positives.
The K75 list of "to fix" remains at about 10 -15 items, week after week [1987; ~105k km's]. I still do 500-800 km per week on the K and it is a great bike, does many things well and I know it quite well, but damn it eats time.
Cheers
Koos

"]Hi Koos. There good bikes check for play in rear wheel movement in diff bearing or swinging arm bearings the earlier ones had issues with the Hall Sensor ignition pick up shiting themselves. Had one foul up on my 96 R1100rt not cheep then. The motors are bulletproof as long as it has a good service history. Alternator belt would be about need to be changed. Cheers Goldie Hope this is of use

The bike is a bit wanting in luggage carrying capacity unfortunately and options to improve. Probably going to stay with the K75. I use it weekly with panniers in various configurations.....and it's so smooth.
