RFDS 2022 Donation

Once again we are collecting donations for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and we urge members to dig deep and chip in for this worthwhile cause. The RFDS provides a valuable service to regional Australia and relies heavily on donations and community support to keep their aircraft in the air. All club members making donations will go into the draw for randomly selected prizes generously donated by – BMW Clubs Australia, Auto Classic and BMWMCCWA including: A BMW backpack/ Carrybag, BMW Tail pod/ bag, Ctek charger, Bandanna, BMW Beanie, $100 gift voucher, BMW Communicator, Wine. The Club will match donations to a maximum total of $1,000 . Final date for lodging donations is Monday 6th June, a formal presentation to RFDS will be advertised in due course. Well done to all on the Committee on this initiative - I have just made a donation. I remember when we were planning our first CSR trip. RFDS supplied us with a fully stocked (it was very impressive) first aid kit should we require it. They even gave us demonstrations on how to administer some of the medications. Now that was 10 years ago and I am not sure that is their current practice but nonetheless we were all so impressed with them.

I hope my donation helps a bit, while it was a bit less than the cost of a carton of craft beer it will bring a lot more benefit - just sayin and no judging.

Just a heads up that there is a very large Veteran Rally travelling between Brisbane and Broome, from 18 July to 11 August. There are 21 motorcycles, 24 cars, 32 passengers and about 32 back-up drivers taking part. I am on the organising committee. We want to donate $1000 to he R.F.D.S. and would be honoured to take the pudding with us (and post frequent updates on social media). I am leaving Perth on 10 July, heading across the Nullarbor to Broken Hill, then up to Brissy. After 11 August, I will be heading back to Perth via Meekatharra (a full lap of the paddock). I can pick up the pudding anywhere.

We have held the donations open for another couple of weeks, jump on the club website and make a donation for the RFDS, all donations go into the draw for the prizes.

RFDS have agreed to a photo shoot on Sunday 28th August at 9.30am, as part of the donations collected recently - Bozo will work this into his Sunday ride, departing from Catalanos.

Join the ride to Jandakot, for the photo shoot, then carry onto lunch with the Bozo's group, or peel off and head home
