Hey Mike
I thought it was very clever of HP2 to stage an inpromptu tyre repair demonstration at breakfast for our benefit, I learnt something at his expense.

It was an even more combined effort than what you can see there. He used my pliers to remove the nail, and Goldies kit to plug the hole.

Lefty,.........you'll do anything to get in a photo (but not helping) must be the performing artist in you ?

Dale and I missed the tyre repairing demo. We went on the Patriots Telethon run.

A S**t load of bikes and lots of chrome, but on those sorts of runs you get to see the best and worst sort of riders and riding skills.

Down to Rocky then up to Hilarys pub for liquid replenishment (fuel of course)

Then home to watch the Wallabies lose

Davey, you fool, I was helping.
That yellow thing is not my lotto folder, it's the spare puncture plugs I went to get, but Goldie got there first with his set.

Glad you enjoyed the Patriots ride :|

Just as a matter of interest what is the end result of the plug repair. Is the tyre cactus or can it be salvaged using the plug repair. Comments :?:

Hi Bill. I used one of those on the 1100, and used the tyre for about 10,000 k's. No Problems.
That is not recommended , but it was a new tyre, and I didn't want to throw it away !

I had to plug the k100 on this years boarder run, l got around 3000ks out of it before it went flat again. l went to a tyre shop and had a tube put in, tyre is perfect, the only thing is if it goes again ill have to repair the tube. so far got an onther 5000k out of the tyre.
