Several of use have had the pleasure of meeting Ewen (F800GS).
A week or two back Ewen was taken out by a Mercedes on the round-about beside the Freemantle Markets. Apparently the Mercedes driver was of the opinion that Ewen should not have been in the spot that they wanted to use. The driver then proceeded to abuse Ewen, this completed they drove off leaving horrified by-standers to rescue Ewen.
Whilst on holiday down south Ewen's left knee bagan to give him problems.
He is now in Albany Hospital on anti-biotics that are currently not reducing the infection.
He tells me he is in dier need of a really good strong hot black coffee and some mints!, this seems to be the only shortfall with Albany Hospital he has been able to identify.
It seems likely he will be there until Monday on ward C, if you are in the area he would love too have someone to talk to, aparently the nurses have now got over the "Ewen McGregor" and "The Long Way Round" bit!

Re: Thanks Guys
Guys
Big thanks to everyone for kind thoughts. Dave called in and we had a good yarn. Shared some tall stories and had a good laugh. He too has done some serious hospital time so could relate. Just what I needed to lift my spirits. It's not certain I will get out on NYE but fingers crossed. Emergency request is now over as now have fresh coffee, plunger, choccy and Christmas Cake! This little addition to hospital food will ensure I still can't fit into my leathers when I get out!
Thanks fellow GS riders...
