And I thought you were looking at doing away with the fuel injection on your GS and wacking on a set of down-draught webbers...

That would have looked grouse

They worked a treat on the old Valiant Charger

Sure it would fix the flat spots in the injection :P

Swampy

A few of us had Chargers.

Anti - tramp and anti - sway bars were de rigeur with half a dozen VDO gauges at random places. Similar to what DFS has done with his GS.

People still raise their fingers as I ride by but it is sometimes hard to make out the V.

In your case I can understand the raised finger/s Chris. Did you have a foxtail on your aerial and "dangly" thingy's decorating your rear window as well??

I can just picture you in drain pipes, flouro socks, db's and a string tie

Hang about the "Snake Pit" or just cruise with your arm hanging out the window?

Swampy

A large fibreglass aerial but no foxtail.

Eventually I had a two way radio for work with another aerial and a magnetic flashing light.

Not quite Dukes of Hazard but often mistaken for a plain clothes police car.
