Riding down on 4 October (the day before). Haven't set a time to depart nor a route to take. I have all day but will aim to be at Kirup Kabins by around 1500hrs to settle in and see where the course is being held. 0800hrs is a bit early - too much traffic around.

I have booked the guest cabin which I am told is a small room with kitchenette and ensuite, which was $100/night as opposed to $150/night for the standard rooms. I assume Ken has booked the same days 5 & 6 but can't recall if he has booked or is booking those days? It is school holidays so if you want a Kabin I would book sooner rather than later? I am also open to routes to get down there.

The venue has plenty of room for camping, firepit and a hot shower, and the pub is a short ride away.
After a day out on the trails you will sleep on a clothes line!

Would be useful to know how many are going from Perth. And a general feel for where we're staying.

BMW GS Training Course - Stay Upright

Post by Intrepid Ken »

Ok, so we all can't afford to do the off-road course and some of us have such Superior skills that we don't need to

However, there is no reason that we all can't get together for a nights camping at the venue. Two courses are scheduled, one for Friday - Saturday and the second is Sunday - Monday. This means that there is a good opportunity for everyone to leisurely ride down on Saturday night and camp with those that have just finished the course or those lining up to do it the following day. Autoclasic will have a tent "thing" there and there will be also additional toilets and a shower - nothing too fancy however there will be a fire and room for your tent.

Toni and I will be there along with a few others. Who else would like to join us?

Please let me know.

Sounds like a great plan, however I'll be heading straight back on Saturday for a prior engagement. Would it be an option for us recently trained noobs to meet up a few weeks later with you more experienced members, either at that same site or elsewhere again, overnight ?
