G’day Slackers,
Trevor and I decided to leave the city for a couple of days and experience some hardship to remind us we are alive. We cycled from Nannup to Jarrahwood and back along the Munda Biddi Trail; about 54 km return. We copped some rain along the way and it was cold when we stopped. The best thing to do was to keep moving. We return to Perth tomorrow (Friday). See you on the other side.

1982 must have been a wet winter. I don’t recall that year because I was based at Canungra in Qld.

Cambray was a fairly large community with a railway gang there as well. My father was a relief railway ganger There for a bit

G’day Slackers (and Snowflakes),

Feelin’ fat...need to get out more.

Trevor and I are doing parts of the Munda Biddi over the next few days. Start at Quinninup and head to Pemberton, overnight there and then return. About 85 km return.

SPOT Link activated from Friday morning around 10.00am. The Link is here;

Hello Snowflakes,

Update end of Day One.
Trev and I arrived at our Motel in Pemberton after a predictable day on the Munda Biddi. We coverered about 40km of mixed conditions...some single track, some good formed gravel roads and some steep climbs and descents. Just another day at the office.
See captions below.

The Quinninup Eco Tourist Park has some of the original Timber Mill Workers huts as accomodation....these single men’s huts were passed their use by dates. Our accn was not much better.

The new Quinninup Tavern. The original one (old Mill Workers Club) was burnt to the ground two years ago.

The Eco Park...this area was where the original Mill housing was located but has since been converted to camp sites for tourists. The Mill closed down in the 1980’s.

There were a few obstacles to deal with along the Trail. Just another day at the office.

Tomorrow is a repeat of today but in reverse as we head back to Quinninup.
