Save Your Neck

Post by GSDisciple »

My recent accident has only served to confirm the need for the right protective gear.

Just saw this on special - it's a very good price.

I bought my neck brace from this mob.

JP you appear to be getting quite serious with the protective gear thing. I thought that a neck brace would only be useful for extreme riding or high speed bike drops. All these add ons to ones protective clothing can also be a bit of "overkill" sic especially when they affect comfort and flexability which are also requirements of a safe ride. Anyway which colour did you choose?

I see that the price has now dropped to $199. This is a great price. Pity J bought mine a few weeks ago.

Never really considered a neck brace.

I was on holiday in Italy last September, where I was side swiped on an overtake, I found myself sliding down the Tarmac on my back for several meters, it was summer mis to late 30's and I had full protective gear including back protector. I suffered a smashed wrist, it exploded into about 11 pieces. I consider myself very lucky, I've always worn full protective gear, and always will. My moto is dress as if you will come off, you just never know.

These guys riding in thongs, shorts and t-shirt.. Well each to their own. Personal choice I guess..i dread to think what mess I'd have been in had I not been dressed properly.

I also think we should necessarily go to gear in any motorcycle clothing, at any temperature air. Today in Moscow, 32 C, and many young people ride bikes neglecting their safety. As a result - seriously injured with minor accidents. Take care of yourself! :!:
