Digger takes a tumble...

Not the usual tumble you (or I) would normally take. Not only did some goose fail to give way to me at a give way sign; he then decides to do a U turn in front of me. Did not leave a whole lota room left. Both brakes on hard but the prick still got me. Thankfully, because I am always ATGATT (all the gear all the time) I walked away none the worse for wear. The jacket, pants and off course the bike are a different story. To top things off, the goose has no insurance. Only been here 8 weeks...welcome to Australia ya tosser!!!

good to hear your ok, how bad is the bike and is the prick still able to walk. They should be made to have a national saftey driving course and all vehicles be made to have third party insurance. That should be mandatory before anybody drives on the road.

Hi Steve

Good to hear you are okay, machines can be fixed easier than bodies, any incident you walk away from is a good one.

Sorry to hear about that but glad you are ok.
There is a rumour that someone else had a tired moment today while chasing a couple of chook chasers (mostly ok I think - nothing that ice won't fix anyway -and a few hours of scrubbing that new red white and blue 1200)

Sorry to hear about this Steve. Glad your OK. The bike doesn't look too bent from the photos. There are too many dill brained drivers on our roads.

No structural damage...the bar work took most of the knocks. A broken mirror, lots of scratches on the bar work, damaged driving light and barkbuster. The R/H side cylinder protector was almost ripped off and that damaged (scratched) the valve cover. Still be an expensive fix!!! I think he must have been driving with his head up his a@#*. Its pretty dark up there!!!

Glad you're ok Steve. The traffic "hazard"s are getting steadily worse. Hope the bike repair is not too significant, you've not long had it back from the last bender
I think we will have to name your bike the "Waterbuck", what do you think Koos!

The picture should explain why

Simple really Dave, I load the photo to my Photo bucket account and then copy the Image link from my Photo bucket album and paste it into the forum thread.

You can try Photo bucket free the only restriction is how many photo's you can host  http://photobucket.com/

Cheers
