Club Venue possibility 6 Hickey Street, Ardross

Now this place is a quaint 30 seater room, with adjacent kitchen for teamaking. There is permanent "big chief's table" for Pres, Secretary and Treasurer. The primary leaseholder is the Veteran Car Club, which leases out the room to other clubs for $12 a night. The only thing is, that there's no bar, but hey, I can bring an esky and "sell" drinks to members that want. For others we can turn on the urn.... The club in question gets handed one key (signed for) and a one year's lease is signed ($96 for the whole year!)

Bit too far south for me. Should be looking for something a bit more central so north/ south east/west all accomodated. Parking and a good ride to the venue are also important

Mike since my ex and myself have moved on I now live in Scarborough not Nedlands. The South Perth Bowling club was just a blast down the freeway this proposed venue means negotiating suburbia and traffic. A trip is not always about the destination. Negotiating traffic on Canning hwy would be a pain. I'm sure we can organise a venue more central. For instance various hotels etc have meeting rooms available. My yacht club on the Nedlands forshore has a very nice venue that we could use.

The venue is sort of "residential" but when we have our pre '31 section meeting, we have 30 people arriving and parking outside, (in Hickey Street) mostly with cars. It is 5 traffic light sets west of Kwinana freeway and a stone's throw from the mighty Swan. You don't get much more central than that! John
