Anyone got any thoughts on companies shipping bikes to South America?

Thank you Bowe for asking such a great question - why don't you try a company in Sydney called 'Ship My Bike'.

Dont know who it was but there was a Husaberg bike in the 2013 Dakar that was from Perth - they might know a shipping company. You planning on going?

David Schwarz was the guy.

"Motorbike rider David Schwarz has also finished each Dakar he has entered, racing in 2005, 2007 and 2012. The Husaberg Rallye Racing Australia rider suffered his share of mechanical issues throughout the rally, but clever, consistent riding kept his hopes of completion alive. In the end Schwarz's experience was enough for a solid top-50 finish."

sorry boys but Garry Connell is the guy you need to talk to ( known as Safariberg on ADV ) he put the Australian Husaberg team together, was also on the KTM team for Ben Grabham. May well be competing in an out there buggy of some discription.

Also check in with Jaybo ( jaybo@gotalk.net) as I think he's competing in 2014 so may want to share container costs.

worth a shot.

See a couple of bike crates for sale on the ADV flea market......good cheap strong boxes to fit ALL tour crap for the journey. Already been to Dakar event so should be OK.

Thanks for watching out Bully. I did see the crate on ADV.

We have signed up for renting Kawa KLR's in Buenes Aires. Shipping was too expensive and then all the hassles could take 2- 4 days of riding / holiday time.
