We met these guys from Spain a few days ago, they have just done the Gibb River Rd. They will be in Perth within the next two weeks. Look out for them.

Wow, this duo is like Kenandtoni with a touch of Zorro. We should try and invite them to be guests of honour at our Annual Dinner John

Just happened to pull into Auto Classic at lunchtime today as these guys arrived from Jurien. Poor buggers were somewhat battered by the the weather conditions and trying to locate Auto Classic to get some parts before closing time.
They plan to be at Catalano's in the morning.

It was good to meet this pair this morning. Once they have recovered from their ride, they will move off along the GCR to Alice, around the same time that we head off for the border.......

Great gathering on Monday night at RobD and Di's.
Great young couple telling some fantastic tales of their travels. Some of the scenery was breathtaking (as was some of the stuff they rode through)
Also told of two Dakar finishes !
Attendees included:
John W
DFS & Angela
Ewen Macgregor (Charlie couldn't make it but sent his apologies
)
Anthony
Ollie (HU)
a few others.
Ask them about the night.....
Maybe we should have a system whereby members could be "SMS'ed en masse" when something like this comes up, as Rob just doesn't have everyone's number..............................just thinking
Rob, you'd better buy a bigger house mate

Yes it was a great night and I apologise to anybody I didnt get to - hopefully next time there will be more time before the event so we can let everyone know and get a bigger venue!
José and Pilar are heading out on the Great Central Rd to Alice Springs, then onto East Coast, shipping to Sth Africa and then riding to home to Spain.
Thanks Dave perhaps I will get a bigger house - might have to set up a paypal account to achieve it so if you want to contribute feel free!

It's a shame we missed the evening, we got back Sunday evening so could have made it.
Maybe an email drop to all members could work?

How often do you meet a RTW rider that has competed in and finished the Dakar - twice!? yes Jose can handle a bike off road, as can Pilar - who has hired many bikes on their RTW trip.
An impromptu presentation - that was well thought out and some amazing pics and videos - some of which are on their web site - so that's worth a look.
Yes it was a great talk - and what an amazing couple. If you think you would enjoy this style of presentation and are interested in meeting other RTW travelers can I suggest you join the Horizons Unlimited local e-mail list serve as RTW riders often contact us when riding through Perth. Better still come to the first HU meeting in October and hear from a huge range of interesting speakers and attend some great workshops.
regards Ewen...
