We have some good news regarding the Xmas dinner at the Porongerups.
Legend, old fella, GS sparkleman, our very own SWAMPY has offered to drive a minivan or people mover to the venue from Perth. He is to remain sober thru-out the event and then drive people back to their digs when they are ready to go home. He will accept tips for good service and wants a Garden gnome for Xmas.
This is a great plan as wives ' partners etc that were not going on the back of bikes now have the option of being ferried to the event from Perth leaving their better half to ride like the wind, take on some dirt or whatever on their M/C .
This should encourage a few more takers to register a booking on the private members site. Looks like we have about 28 now the Swamps are coming with a number of others saying they are coming but are yet to register.
We will decide at the committee meeting on Thursday the size and comfort level of the van. Now we have the numbers we should have the venue for ourselves.
Accommodation is available at the Porongorup caravan park with chalets and camping facilities, the Lawlers and some limited tent camping at Dukes winery. Make your bookings yourselves and let the committee know where you are so Swampy can do his business.
If anyone wants a lift down there put your name forward.
