South West authorities are actively persuing equiries in regards to local bikies flaunting the local legislation applicable to disabled parking bays.

On a recent excercise, a stunt rider was used to demonstrate how these local bikies dis-respect the rules.

Below is a typical example of a selfish act of inconsideration whereby an unknown bikie leaves his well loved BMW GS with expanda side panniers in a disabled parking bay. I must point out that we are well aware that a disabled person is very unlikely to own such a powerful and well engineered motorcycle as used in this demonstration....

Example 2
In this photo, our stunt rider demomstrates how he wears and attaches his helmet before mounting his Bavarian Beauty and makes off to enjoy the rest of his ride, before the unsuspecting local aurthorities can aprehend this unruly bikie

Local Authorities would like to request any assistance in stamping this out unpleasant issue.

NB: no wombats or echidnas were harmed during this demonstration

Pictures can be (intentionally) misleading depending on the angle they are taken from.

However any prosection by the Shire of Capel would fail as the "restricted parking stall" under the Shire of Capel Parking Bylaws was not clearly marked by "painted lines, coloured bricks, metallic studs, reflective markers..."

Interestingly the persons taking the picture were more vulnerable as they breached Section 3(1) 4 "A person shall not park a motorcycle without a sidecar or a trailer, or a bicycle
in a parking stall unless the stall is marked 'M/C'".
