Not Motorcycle related, However I will be travelling the "Outback Way" too the "Alice" and return in my 2011 Isuzu D max 4x4 with my wench (Young Girl) and Cub Outback Camper in tow in October this year.
I'm requesting input from the vast source of knowledge that our members possess in order to purchase a spare Rim and Tyre for the Isuzu at a fair and reasonable price.
Where is there a good outlet?
I would appreciate any advice you have to offer.
Cheers Swampy

Not sure about the rim Swampy..i bought a second 'spare' for my Hilux (a 'Sunraysia' rim for $110 from the local tyre bloke) and asked him to supply an old 'runout' to get me out of trouble. They have to pay to dispose of the tyres so you can pick up the tyre cheap enough. He might charge you to to fit the tyre. The other option to to ring around the wreckers.
Regards

Swampy,
Quite often tyre retailers will have rims lying around, people upgrade to wide tyres and there are rims and tyres going cheap, not sure about the Dmax but it is likely other manufacturers rims will fit your ute.
This is where I have got my 2nd spares from.
Sometimes they wont fit 2nd hand tyres due to the liability issues

Thanks Digger (Hope you are back "doing it in the dirt" soon on the GS) and Bowe and Koos for your suggestions and assistance.
Have managed to pick up a rim for $100.00 and a tyre for $155.00 this morning from "AR One Stop Autos" in Kenwick, Phone 94931120. (Total $255.00 fitted)
Thanks Again,
Swampy
