" But the rides are for BMW riders only"

Is this correct or should it be "BMW club members only"

Robbo.

BMW Riders not just club members
This is a opportunity for those who are curious or on the fence to come along and see what the club is about.

You could always pillion on a BMW if you're worried about showing up on the DR 8)
I suppose we will have to make a special allowance for TW 200's now .....

I am the ride Captain for the "Southern" ride. The meeting spot is the Ravenswood Hotel on Pinjarra road, midway between Mandurah and Pinjarra. Rock up anytime after 9.30. Coffee will be available from reception from 10.00 am and we will leave at 10.30 SHARP, so don't leave it too late. There will be one further meeting spot for those that are running late/ too much of a wuss to go all the way down to the Murray........

It will be at the small servo on the eastern side of SWH in Byford, at the corner of Abernethy Road. There is a good parking area and public conveniences for those with small bladders. Make sure that you are in this parking lot and READY to RIDE no later than 11.15.

I need a tail end Charlie volunteer to assist please, PM me or call 0406112916 to confirm. Your Club needs you!

We shall then enjoy a ride through the Hills, along scenic sweeping roads (please interject with some suitable poetry, Bozo) followed by an arrival at Spadille garage which will have the subtlety of a panzer assault.

I will be organising the Northern group along with Bozo.
The idea is that this group will be meeting at Hilary's marina in the Southern car park East of the shops and West of the water fun park. The group should start arriving at 0900 for a 0930 departure. If you feel lost and can't find anyone it's probably that we have already left or you are in the wrong car park if you are within the timings . Never fear we intend to designate up to 3pickup points on this ride. The problem is at this stage , Bozo is still in Melbourne after his epic ride over there last week and he and myself are yet to plan a memorable, exciting, incident free scenic ride that justifies the 40 years of members participating in this great club.
That apart we intend to ride and meet up with the Southern group near the venue form one large group and steer the mass of Bavarian iron , probably in the vicinity of 150+ bikes, with socially accepted noise levels , numerous models and ages of all BMW motorcycles ; to arrive at the destination with perfect timings. The committee has alerted the local TV stations of this epic coming so expect to be seen on the local news.( for all the good reasons)
The riders will be respectively clad without badges, most sporting none or limited ink, and they will have huge smiles on their faces after experiencing the ride of the century getting to the Spadelle garage venue.
As indicated the Northern ride is a work in progress so be sure to keep a eye on this thread for updates to the other meeting points and timings for these. Lock into your dairies Sat 29 Nov for a great ride and great time with the BMWMCCWA 8)
It would probably be an idea to indicate your attendance as a Northern rider participant which would help with the ride planning. Sorry dirt guys it will probably be all tar and be about 3 hours of riding with a bit of waiting at the pickup points.

Those joining the rides should register on the club website, this will record which ride group you intend to join and has the added bonus of entering you in a raffle to be drawn at Spadille. You have to register and be there at Spadille to win!

JohnW I see you are proposing a different assembly and departure time to the northern group, I will have to update the website events page if you want to change your timing to 10 for a 10:30 departure?

Our departure is later because Ravenswood won't have coffee ready till 10.00am.

The first meeting place is corner Abernethy and SWH right in Byford. There may not, in fact be a servo there, so do as suggested, fill up at the Caltex cnr Nettleton and SWH if you didn't fill up the previous evening.

Swampy, you are a rock star mate. You are the tail end man for the southern group. May the force be with you. I will give you a route sheet as well, so you can herd the hapless lost souls as required.

John
