I'll be off the grid for a while...

Post by Digger »

G'Day Slackers,
I am leaving for Thailand on Saturday 17th January. The plan is to cycle tour SE Asia starting at Chiang Mai in Thailand, heading south to Bangkok, entering Cambodia and hopefully on to Laos and possibly Vietnam. I could be away for 3 weeks or 3 months depending on how my body holds out.
Spot Link is here;

I will be stopping occasionally in major regional cities and towns and acting like a tourist. I plan to be back for ANZAC Day and Desert Raid if not before. I figure the next time you see me I could be a few kilos lighter :lol:

Too scared to guess....at least 2,500km if I achieve the minimum that I want to achieve (Thailand and a loop of Cambodia). Probably 4,000+ if I continue on to Laos and into Vietnam.

G'Day Slackers...

Have a look at today's (Thursday) ride....talk about twisties. Pity i was riding my mountain bike and not something a bit quicker. Covered about 220km over 3 days of riding. Accommodation since we left has been cheap and cheerful. Street food hasn't caused any upset stomach (yet) and my bum is starting to take the shape of my bike seat. Will take a day off in a couple of days but so far, so good.
