I have come across the following web site that may be a substitute for Cookie's wild flower trip which was cancelled.
Leave Friday 18th September, return Sunday 20th. May be able to co-ordinate alternative group catch-up days for those not wanting to leave Friday.
It could involve a couple of days with some Glamping

Generally good sealed roads

Have a look and if I get enough positive feedback, numbers and interest I will try and co-ordinate the trip within the time slot that Cookie had indicated previously keeping in mind the wildflower display is a very small window....

For more information on the towns , accommodation ,facilities , best viewing of wild flowers and features within the proposed area of interest there is a
free 50 page booklet on each of the 9 towns with 2 audio CDs which tell a narrative as a guide thru the north eastern wheat belt and also in this offer is a detailed map of the area.
To get this call
1300736283 to request a package to be sent to you. The one I got took only a couple of days to get to me. I am very impressed

I am thinking :leave Friday
18th Sept and make our way to Billyburning Rock for a overnight camp. The route would take in Dowerin, Wyalkatchem, Koorda, Mollerinn Lake nature reserve, Beacon .
Spend Sat heading up to Bimbijy exploring attractions in the area heading South for a camp Sat night at probably Bencubbin.
Sunday trip home via Billyacatting Hill conservation park, Aragon rock Trayning, Wyalkatchem and home.
Bring a tent, camping gear, camera and a pillion if you are up for it
Lots of bike time, camping, see places not normally visited , Spring time and it's great weather and awakening of the bush and a memorable ride in the wilds of WA.
What more could one ask for......

The weather is looking a bit ordinary for the ride into the NE wheat belt next W/E. We will review the situation as it gets closer to the departure date with possible cancelling if the forecasted rain remains.
I will keep interested participants in the loop on this thread as the week progress's

The trip is definitely a goer. Patrick and Brian have indicated they are starters. I'll be taking the GSA and maybe will be doing some off-road stuff and bush camping as Doris isn't coming now. Hope to make Billyburning Rock for Fri camp and then explore around Bimbijy Station Sat and heading home Sun.
Meeting up at the Bindoon Bakery Friday morning at 0900 for a departure via Dowerin, Beacon etc about 450ks
Anyone else wanting to join us let me know....

Bill any chance of making it a 10:00 a.m. or thereabouts departure from the Bindoon Bakery?
Not only do I enjoy lying in, coming from way down south to Bindoon through peak hour traffic is a sucker.
Cheers

Patrick, I plan to arrive at Bindoon at 0900 and maybe have some breaky so if you could plan to get there by about 0930 that would be great. Billburn ing Rock is almost 500 Ks away and by the time we stuff around with some siteseeing eating lunch etc we would want to arrive at the campsite to set up in daylight.
So push for a 0930 arrival so we can get on with the trip
