Cookie
I heard this morning at Cats that Cookie had a bike accident presumably on his way to Esperance and amongst other things sustained a broken leg, does anyone know any more?

Re: Cookie
Cookie had a low speed off, somewhere near Ravensthorpe. He sent an SMS from the clinic where an X-ray indicated ankle damage, not sure how bad. Apart from that he sounded ok though dissapointed. He was waiting on an RFDS flight to take him back to Perth. Should be back in Perth now. Will update when we know more. Lets hope its nothing too bad and he is up and about again soon.

Get well Cookie, we have a Postie to ride!
I take it you have a collection tin with you?
Have you hit on the nurses yet for a donation?
Cheers,

Your a tuff Anzac there Cookie, will be ok...though had you been astride an Airhead, this misfortune might very well not have happened.

Re: Cookie
Hello faithful followers
I am home resting, plaster casts for next 6 weeks, doctors are very happy with my progress, will end up working from home for majority of the time, as it will be hard to sit at a desk and keep my right foot elevated.
Visitors welcome, just call first to let me know you are heading over.
Special thank you to fellow riders on the day, your support was appreciated, the family network will see the bike and gear back in Perth within the fortnight.
Sound like minimal damage to the bike, handlebars, a soft pannier and some pride.
Hope to see you on Sunday at Cats

Re: Cookie
Sorry to hear about your accident, Cookie and more so about the broken ankle. 6 weeks in a cast? You should be able to get back in 4.
Speedy recovery mate and maybe one day I'll get to actually see you on a bike.
