Bad news v Good news

Trying to make the most of a sunny day I took Harry for a run up to Toodyay via the Chittering Valley yesterday.
A very enjoyable run with little traffic to spoil the ride, Stopped for lunch at the Coke Museum got back on the bike to find I had a flat rear tyre. Picked up a nail or some other sharp object.
Had 3 lots of motorcyclists offering assistance in one way or the other, mostly verbally but managed to plug the damage anyway but very grateful for the offers of assistance and arrived home a bit later in the day then expected without any further issues.
That was the bad news on a tyre with only 6,000ks on it.
Good news I guess was I replaced it with a Michelin Pilot Road 4 this morning and barring any further flats will see what kind of mileage I get out of this one?
