Gentleman is Looking for Info

Post by SPANDAU BALLET »

From another website. However he's appealing for help so here goes. Dave Wards onto this but does anyone else have any info?

It Begins :"I've recently sold a Krauser and have agreed to write a potted history of the bike for the new owner. It was number 17 and was imported as a complete bike into WA in the early '80's, probably for a bike show, then sold to a member of the BMWMCWA (I think). Back then, it looked like this:(See Above)

It goes on :"I'm hoping some WA inmates can tell me who the WA importer was - we had Morgan & W in Qld until BMW Aus took over, so I'm assuming it was a dealer who handled the import?
Also, any info on the bike or the owner(s) would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!"

Anyone know the History of this Bike?

Being sorted. A member of our club has 2 Krausers and I talked to Dave Ward he knows the guy over East to pass on his details.I think that bike might have been owned by a person in the club here who worked for the ABC. I was told there was only 3 sold in WA, And there was only a 100 made.I had the pleasure to ride it from YORK to NORTHAM and it went pretty well to.
