Hi All,

Can anyone offer any advice on this machine, what to look out for etc. etc.

Thanks in advance.

Have you ever ridden an outfit ?it’s a bit different to a solo. I can’t say I have ever seen this unit I suggest get an experienced BMW mechanic to go over it. I know the original rear wheel bearings don’t like sidecars and there is a modification you can get done to the hub

Hi,

Yes, I did a zig zag across Australia on an outfit and covered 11,000 kms...I am kind of missing a sidecar, and this one looks ok, if a shade expensive. I thought I would tap into the available experience here to see if its a reasonable deal.

Thanks for the reply.

Suzanne.

Hi what sort of outfit did you use on your zig zag. Pull the fork gaiters down from the lower tree and make sure no oil leaks there. Another member in the club also has a R100 outfit and is that an original stieb sidecar.

Hi,

We did the trip on a 2015 Ural Ranger.

Broke down twice, one occasion blew the right side throttle body clean off the bike :)

On one memorable and tiring day we did > 1000kms, no mean feat on a Ural. I was exhausted.

Thanks.
