The BMWMCCWA Committee!

Post by Swampy »

A great turnout of members and partners at the Annual Club Christmas party last night with an enjoyable night had by one and all!!

My congratulations also to those than won well deserved awards including Bozo who continues to lead us on some fantastic rides. 8)

Also my personal thanks to the committee for my double award for "Tail End Charlie" duties and also for the "Attendance" plaque although their are many in the club who are equally if not more deserving of that award. And as Noel famously commented on "You even get an award for coming last"!!

It was casually mentioned this morning while I was speaking to three members of the committee that this is a great club to belong to and I have to say, never was a truer statement made. We are a diverse group of people from vastly different backgrounds who all share a common love of BMW Motorcycles and who all contribute in some small way to the ongoing success of this unique club.

However, Having said that, There is a group of mainly unsung heroes who form the backbone of this club who sacrifice their valuable time week in and week out throughout the year who strive to give this club some vibrancy and continued success but go largely unrecognized and acknowledged and are at times often unjustly criticized for their combined efforts!!

None of these people receive any awards at the end of year functions but nevertheless go on tirelessly contributing their time and effort for the benefit of us, the general members!!

From the President down all equally deserve our combined praise and vote of thanks for being the mainstay's of the wonderful club and for continuing to strive for it's continued success and for the many successful functions they organize! 8)

Thank You all for your achievements and continued success in the future!!

PS: Suggestion. Many members have voiced their praise of the excellent function held at Jennacubine and would like it put on the calendar for a future consideration IE: Christmas in July 2020?

Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."
