For me the post illustrates an extraordinary level of intelligence.
The fact that a computer numerically controlled machine can do this is clever. The machine tool was designed and built by some skilful people using the best materials and leading edge technology.
The fact that a man can sit at a computer, select and source the correct tooling, generate code from a software program to enable the computer numerically controlled machine to produce the part demonstrates an awesome level of skill and ability.
The fact that a software engineering team of men can produce a program capable of recognising and applying discrete yet contiguous tool-paths and profiles to a surface is beyond my (limited) comprehension.
