Must have been observing and mimicking the inbreeding practiced by some of the human residents of the Apple Isle

"I love a sunburnt country, a land of sweeping plains.
Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."

The Ape
First thing I checked was the date of the post as it is the sort of thing that gets legs and flies around April 1. I understand that there is a two headed goanna in the WA Museum (learned from a Ted talk) so why am I feeling gull-ible about this story.
