Yes you are quite right Steve, I didn’t research the price, as the ride sounded reasonable.
As a comparison, just as a matter of interest the Postie Bike Challenge is close to $5000 for their 7 day ride but that includes airfares, owning the postie bike and all the catering and camping gear. Their trip also involves a similar experience travelling out in the desert on tracks and gnarly roads
