"I love a sunburnt country, a land of sweeping plains.
Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."

Re: BMWMCCWA Christmas Function York
What a fantastic turnout to a fantastic Venue at the Settlers House in York last night!!
Congratulations to the Committee and organisers who arranged the venue and I heard nothing but good comments about how good the Accommodation was and how the evening was organised and progressed.
There were some who thought it would be a good choice again for next years Club Christmas Function but that would be subject to someone sacking the Live Entertainment!!
After all, we were all there to enjoy each others company along with some lively conversation between people who had not seen each other for some period of time without having to shout to be heard!!
I am sure the muso was not part of the arrangements made by the committee but even Lefty was left bemused and that is saying something
PS: I still love you Lefty Rant Over!!
It was a rather hot afternoon/evening and the staff behind the bar were kept running all night serving up drinks of all types to the thirsty BMW punters and their partners!!
It was great to see some of our country colleagues take the time and effort in trying conditions to attend and to join in the fun and games!!
Congratulations to Wes and Bozo for jointly winning the Club Member of the Year Award, Aptly deserved guys, Well Done
Also Thankyou to Andrew for calling out the correct Bingo Words and to Karen for making sure I got the correct card, Auto Classic here I come!!
I was seated in a great position to observe the party it was terrific to see so many people with happy smiling faces enjoying each others company.
The evening was a total success in my view and I am seriously thinking of nominating myself for a position on the Committee next year if people are willing to give me a second go?
Thanks to all again for a lovely evening in great company!!
Merry Christmas

Re: BMWMCCWA Christmas Function York
Thank you for your kind words Swampy, the entertainment was organised by the hotel, nothing to do with our gig.
It was a lovely night and great feedback from all, around 20 punters hung around for breakfast and only bailed in time for 10am checkout.
