The Curse of Covid

Hi All, I guess I am laying my head on the chopping block here but I believe that what I am about to say needs to be said in support of the silent majority!!
We have been living with this cursed Covid for 2 years now and it's not going to go away anytime in the forseeable future.
We are now, especially with our national and international borders being opened directly in the firing line to cop a dose before we all get much older!!
Some of us are fully vaccinated and some of us choose not to be and I am not here to enter into any pointless arguments overs peoples choices either way!!
However what does concern me is the fact that there are some amongst us not practicing the correct protocols that the government has directed we follow in order to minimise our risk of catching or spreading this awful virus!!
Catalano's on a Sunday morning is a prime example of what I am talking about here and we are all equally guilty here as we don't follow guidelines by separating as we should be and the majority of members also don't wear masks whilst not eating or drinking
You can rightly argue that masks are not required to be worn whilst out in the open but I ask you to consider the vastly increased risks of spreading or catching the virus amongst ourselves while we are in so close proximity with each other totally unaware of how others are socialising in their own private lives!!
As a result of observing this situation I for one have chosen to remove myself from Cat's to minimise the risk both to myself and to others!!
A small group of us have chosen to apply preventive medicine and to safe guard ourselves as much as possible.
I am therefore appealing to all club members to give some consideration to what I am saying here and to join in the push to minimise risk to not only you and your families but to your BMWMCCWA mates.
It is easy enough to do, Wear your mask when not eating or drinking, Maintain the appropriate distance required when sitting and eating and lets all look after one another as best we can !!
By practicing these small things, you may find some absent members will consider it safe enough to join back in what is normally a great social activity?
My apologies if this offends anyone but I sincerely hope by me stating the obvious publicly we can jog peoples minds into a positive action!!
Yours Sincerely
Swampy
