I'm told that Ben and Dean had collision earlier today while dirt riding. No further information on what happened or why.

Dean received a broken leg and Ben some sort of back injury or bruising. Both need an ambulance and hospital treatment. Anthony was there to provide assistance. The bikes were retrieved.

I know no more however I wish them both well.

bad news......hope they are both OK...and get better soon.

Hmm this raises a dilemma... did Ben's bike get taken to Auto Classic or Causeway?

Spoke to Ben today (Mon)...he is in RPH and hopes to be out in a day or two...had some Xrays and a scan...he thinks he might be in a brace for a while. He also busted up his foot. Not sure about Dean's condition. Ben tells me he also is in RPH. I believe his lower leg was badly broken (bleeding within his boot). The bikes were recovered back to Perth.

well then I guess the KTM is maybe a Kaboom, Ben wouldn't have been on " the best touring bike ever" if they were going out for a blast on tracks. And I guess maybe Dean will have the time now to fix his rear brake properly

Ben and Dean are now in the same room in RPH. Ben broke one of those spinal bones in his back but fortunately the nerves are OK, he just can't put any weight on it til it's fixed. Dean broke his left leg and foot. You can never spend too much on clothes. Dean said it saved his leg. Both are in pain but are tough. I told them how good the pain drugs are and they should grab them while they can. Neither will be riding again for a while altho both are determined to ride as soon as possible. Robin you may need to teach Dean that trick you showed me on the nullabour, kneeling on your seat.

This is very bad news...

Can anyone be a little more specific where the boys are in RPH. It's a fairly big place.
