JP and I passed Landor Station a couple of days too soon and missed out on the races on our recent trip, but we thought it could be a good ride for the calender next year, when details for next years event become available I will update this post.
I think it is held on the October long weekend every year, if going by the tar, Meekatharra is about 1000k's and then Landor is about 250k's of dirt on the Mt Augustus Rd which at that time of the year is in pretty good shape, otherwise there's plenty of dirt roads to get there.
The website for this years event is below, as you will see it is quite a show.

Re: Landor Races
G'day Bowe
I just back from the races this week. Have been going there on & off for 25 years! They are always held on the middle weekend of the Sept/Oct school holidays. It rarely lines up with a long weekend though (in fact, I can't remember it ever having done so - insert head-scratch thingy here).
Some quick info:
Bring a free standing tent or bring a hammer & long roofing nails instead of pegs - the ground is rock hard
No power avail to campgrounds - but I have access to 24hr power if someone needs something charged
No telephone comms
Hot showers and flushing dunnies are dotted around the place and avail for anyone to use
Cold beers avail at the bar
Ice for sale (so bring a small soft esky)
Basic takeaway food avail (chips, burgers, water, cooldrinks etc)
Racing on Sat & Mon
Table gambling Fri, Sat, Sun & Mon nights
Fuel IS avail - the club organises a fuel tanker (yep!) to park up and dispense fuel direct from the truck.
I drive up there with my son and his d/cab ute is quite full, but can assist by maybe carrying a few cartons for you blokes.
Meeka is 750km up GNH. The Landor racetrack is a further 270kms. You can cut out a lot of bitumen by deviating thru Goomaling & Cadoux and taking the Mouroubra Rd up to Paynes Find. In fact, there are quite a few alternate dirt ways to head there.
If anybody is a dirt novice or doesn't like getting into sandy riding, then I reckon take the Meeka-Landor Rd. Half of the 270kms is like a dirt hwy... smooth as a babies bum. The other half is hard packed stony road approx 2-car width. Make sure your tyres have plenty of tread.
