Looks like a great ride and W/E. Have 14 going so far.
Will do a group ride meeting at Catalanos at 8am on Sat morning and will arrange a travel plan with a interesting route down to Dumbleyung on road bike friendly roads with frequent stops to keep happy and smiling opinionated in your ear pillion riders
If you haven't let me know if you are coming, do so to organise the dinner booking.

We have 19 people that have booked and told me they will be attending the dinner at the Tavern on Sat night. If others will be attending and have booked at alternative accommodation please let me know so I can book additional members joining the group for dinner. The hostess Kaye needs to know numbers so she can cater and make a seriously great dinner.
For those sitting on the fence undecided if they will be attending give some serious thought on attending a quality social event with a great ride through the lesser known and travelled roads of the inner SW and in the great company of your fellow BMWMCCWA MEMBERS.."............

Meeting for group ride at Cats Sat morning at 0800 for a 0830 start

important announcement

I have just had a phone call from Kaye at the Dumbleyung Tavern. Kaye has generously offered those that didn't manage to secure a room and were thinking of camping or were going to find other accomodation outside the tavern , the use of the upstairs lounge to lay down a swag. She also offered the use of the lawn near the beer garden if you wanted to put up a tent, and would allow the use of toilet facilities. She said the lounge could sleep half a doz or so and the lawn area was huge and could take another half doz tents.
Kaye wants us to have a great stay at Dumbleyung and I'm sure this offer will enable those that may have been considering the ride but were disappointed that they couldn't stay at the tavern to reconsider and come along on the ride

Mystery ride no more.
We will be riding via Brookton Hwy to Brookton where we will be meeting AHAB and Odette at 1000, filling fuel tanks, then heading off to Corigin which is another 90 km away, from there the next heading takes us to Kulin which is 72 km away. From Kulin we travel 130 k to Lake Grace checking out the vast lake network down that way. I was originally going to head further South via Pingrup, Nyabing, Katanning and then Dumbleyung another 200 k but have decided against this as it could have us riding in the dark. Instead we will head straight to Dumbeyung from Lake Grace. This will give the group more time to take in the sights , have some lunch maybe at Kulin and arrive at a reasonable hour to relax at Dumbleyung. I have checked and fuel is available at Lake Grace Shell Roadhouse for those that need to refuel. Unfortunately Doris hasn't managed to shake a bad Kyrgyz she has been harbouring for the last couple of weeks and reckons she might be pushing it to be a starter so the cuppa and scones at Katanning isn't going to happen
As mentioned previously the Tavern will let people sleep on the floor of the upstairs lounge in the tavern and will also let people set up a tent on their lawn next to the beer garden, which was a very nice gesture.
Any last minute participants are welcome to join the 20 or so already going

We had a great trip there and back and the night at the Tavern was great too.
We had the following venture down Bill with Doris missing due to illness, Jono, Guy, Tom & Gill, Tom & Marion, Nev & Terry, Gav & LU, Col and Jan, Wes, Mike and Odette with the rest that said they were starters changing their mind or not showing

Was that you and Odette coming through Pingelly about 10 or so this morning Mike, we were in the servo, we then had a few bikes go past us when we were at the end of Woods Loop.
