Hi gang

Just a quick message to let everyone know that we arrived safe and well in Jenolan Caves yesterday.

The ride was long but spectacular in places, now we are in the Blue Mountains we can certainly get a feel for what we have I store over the next 5 days.

Check out my blog with recent updates including how a rhino taught an old dog (mongrel dog) a new trick.

Check in again soon.

Safari is over for another year...although not as challenging as previous years, there were still broken bones, broken bikes and even an accident involving a rider being shunted off his bike by a 4WD towing a caravan. Conditions were difficult due to weather (rain) which meant some changes were made to the routes on the fly...hence the more sedate nature of the Safari. Still, saw some magnificent country and besides, a crappy day on a motorbike has gotta be better than a good day at the office.
I'm off to Canberra for a couple of days to have a look around.

Hi Gang
I said my farewells this morning to the BMW Safari and parted company with Steve aka Mongrel Dog

Rode to Melbourne and dropped my bike off at the BMW Dealership in the city for a service (600km overdue).

I had an absolute ball, despite some difficulties with weather and conditions I can hold my head up and proudly say I did not have any offs or broken bits on the bike 8)

I am waiting for the bar to open in the Qantas Club so I can celebrate my little personal bucket list tick and look forward to my flight home.

Check out my blog for lots of photos and more detail about the riding.

Total distance 5588 kilometres
