Swampy brought his new black beast to Catalano's this morning and provoked a mixed reaction.
He volunteered to ride Tail End Charlie for the "Not the Three Dams Ride" to York. Over 2,000 cyclists had infected the hills so the ride took a wide detour via Red Hill, Bailup Road, Burma Road and Coates Road to get to Bakers Hill. There was almost a pie fuelled mutiny as Bozo refused to dismount at Bakers Hill but Kim, Tim, Jodee, David, Bill + Trish, Goldie, Colin, Drew, Swampy and Bozo continued on through Spencer' Brook to York. A grain train split the group near York and the choice of coffee split the group at York.
The planned trip to Beverley was canned with a shorter route home via Knott's Road, Talbot Road, West Talbot Road, Yarra Road and the Great Southern Highway to end at the Lakes.
