Logue Brook Harvey overnighter

Logue Brook overnighter is only 2weeks away on the 14th and 15th of May.

Brian Harvey has volunteered to lead the ride in my absence, detail as follows;

Saturday 14th May, meet at Gull Karragullen, corner of Canning Road and Brookton Highway at 10am for a 10.15 departure.

Travel via Araluen, Albany highway, jarrah dale road, kings bury drive, Scarpe road into Del Park Road, Dwellingup for lunch.

Continue via Nanga Road, Hoffman Mill, Clarke Road, Logue Brook Road to Brockman Campsite - please note- camping fees apply. The campsite has basic facilities and covered area incase it rains.

The Route contains mixture of dirt and bitumen, alternative route for road riders is available.

The Sunday route home

Logue Brookroad, Clarke Road, DuPont Road, Harvey - Quindaning Road - Quindaning for lunch, mostly dirt this morning.

Run home on black top via Marradong, Dwellingup, Del Park Road, highway?

Road option available for morning route if required.

It looks as if there is no one planning to do this ride. The only two that were going are now unable to attend.
I will be at the start and if no one is interested in doing the overnight will do a one day ride following most of the planned route.
This will leave Sunday free for breakfast and for those interested to view the Antonov come into Perth Airport.

As expect no takers for this ride, so carried on solo for a day trip.
Departed as planned with the first stop in Jarrahdale for Coffee and to off loaded camping gear.
Started with a short cut by entering Scarp Road in Jarrahdale which wound down to the Serpentine River and up to Kingsbury Dr? The road had a few washouts on the climb up after the bridge. Glad not to have a fully load bike. The rest was reasonable gravel roads mixed with sections of bitumen. Just enough moisture to kill the dust. On the gravel section on Nanga Road near Hoffman Mill any more rain or traffic would have started to make the road rather slippery.
Coffee & cake at the Brockman Tourist Village then home via the highway and back up Kingsbury Dr to Jarrahdale for more coffee and pick up the gear and then home in time for tea. The weather held off with no rain, round trip distance 300kms.
