Many are Cold but few are Frozen

Post by Bozo »

On a coolish morning there was a flurry of late arrivals at breakfast. Good to see Fast Rhino back with a "boxer" and Bailey attempting to have (Kim's) breakfast. Also good to see Ariel back on his GS

Ten riders turned their heated hand grips to maximum and parted the cold air to cruise through the wildflower infected hills but not before passing massive oversized loads covered in dust heading in the opposite direction. Travelling through Bickley Valley and Mundaring we were soon at the "opening soon" Lakes. A short wait at Yarra Road and were off in the direction of Beverley. A change of mind had us travelling the scenic Qualen Road and passing the infamous Poodle Rock.

York was buzzing as it was a Festival Week End as we stopped for Coffee which was really an excuse to spend some time in a warm spot.

The crew flew along the railway line to Spencers Brook and on to Bakers Hill. There were heaps of motorbikes out on the road.

In a short time we were back in the traffic descending Greenmount contrasting with the joy of being on quiet scenic roads.

Another enjoyable Sunday run.
