A small gathering at Catalanos today, no doubt influenced by the Christmas function the night before.
No reports of line dancing emerged amongst the 67 guests at Mean Machines.
Colin was back in action on his LC GS sporting pictures of Lepers Gully Road and its decaying infrastructure. Noel had the 40's Harley so that Harry Honda would not feel in the minority and Mackerel Eddy was sporting new gear.
German Paul, Swampy, Mackerel Eddy, Peter, GS Bill + Trish and Bozo took advantage of the cooler day to head to grainy heart of WA - Goomalling. After a quick stop at Gidgegannup to check whether any pillions had been lost the group survived an unmarked police car and deviated onto Lilydale Road to do the Breeze Road run in reverse emerging on Mayo Road. Much of the crop had been harvested but there were still patches of wheat and oats.
Goomalling was very quiet with the café closed and Slater's homestead shut. A quick drink stop at BP and we were into the twisties on the Goomalling Meckering Road. Through no fault of Bozo we missed the earthquake evidence as we passed through Meckering to the Quellington Road. Getting to Spencer Brook Road via Burgess siding road we reached Bakers Hill for the mandatory pie break.
The group split up for the ride back to Perth.
A lot of humour, much talk about Motorrad gear, haircuts and travel. Thanks to Swampy for doing tail end duties as whilst many of the group were misguided none were misdirected.
Happy Christmas
Bozo

Re: Grainy ride to Goomalling
Thanks Bozo for leading another interesting and informative ride through the Wheat belt, Must have covered close to 300ks today?
It's a shame Bozo hadn't attended last night Xmas Bash as I am sure he would have taken home an award for leading close to 40 rides this year. Well Done Chris and Thank You from all of us who join in your excursions.
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and look forward to catching up with you all in the next couple of weeks.
Thank You all for being part of such an excellent club and for the friendship.

Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."

Yes a very big thanks to Bozo for leading as many rides as he has this year. Always very good. Always happy to listen and nil ego along the way.
On another matter, I'm not sure if anyone else noticed at breakfast there was some rather fit looking bloke (unknown to us) running up Albany Highway past Cats yesterday greeted by cheers and wolf whistles? Well this was quite unusual, but I knew the whistle, I just had not heard it for a while. Was it my Alex's whistle? I guess that will happen for me again when I peel my top off and run up Albany Highway too? ... don't panic I won't be doing that anytime soon. Ah well she enjoyed coming along and catching up with everyone who was at breakky too!
Merry Christmas everyone.
