Another day and another ride for those no longer paying taxe

Post by Swampy »

It was another beautiful morning in the Golden West and as is my norm. on a Thursday I had planned a ride to one of my favourite towns....Toodyay.

I had planned to meet Angela in Mundaring at 0930 for her third attempt at joining me for a ride. Unfortunately For the third consecutive week Angela's bike went on strike!!
The first time it appeared to be computer related gremlins which Noel sorted out for her. Last week it was a nail in the tyre and this week?? Had to be transported from Alkimos to Thorsten's workshop for him to repair!! $$$$$$$$

Bad luck Ange, maybe next week mate okay?

As it was "Redundant" Ross met me at Mundaring and we took a nice relaxing ride through York, Northam and arrived in Toodyay at 1100 in time for elevenses!!
We were half way thru our first coffee when His Royal Griceness tapped me on the shoulder. He was there to visit a mate in Toodyay and saw Ross and me pull in to the Cocoa Cola Cafe and decided to join us. two minutes later a blinding light assailed our eyes as Peter, his pate reflecting the brilliant sunshine walked in as well.
A very enjoyable hour or so passed by with stories and banter aplenty while we enjoyed some of the cafes culinary delights??

Chris eventually went off on his second attempt to find his mate whilst Ross, Peter and me myself rode back along Julimar Road thru the Chittering Valley to Bullsbrook where we stopped for another natter while I belatedly informed "she who must be obeyed" that I was delayed as I had been hijacked by a couple of uncouth ruffians and had been unceromoniousely led astray.

Arrived home at 1530 after a very pleasant day spent with a bunch of good guys on brilliant BM's

Thanks for the company today fellah's and once again commiserations to poor Angela and her tempermental 650

Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."
