Attracting the Birds

Post by Bozo »

Another solid turn out at Catalano's including Loose Bruce and Two Volts. Ray demonstrated how he managed a paper shortage on his recent trip to Europe (there is a digital solution to everything nowadays) and Bozo Books were on the menu.

A small group of four headed to Serpentine Dam through a motor cycle infected Darling Scarp. Steve, Ted, Swampy and Bozo took Canning Road and then Canning Mills Road to get to Chevin Road before looping back to Brookton Highway. An attractive run along Gardiner Road and McNess Drive got us to Albany Highway. A run down Bedfordale Hill and a break at Nettleton Road. We ran into a Swampy look a like riding an old Honda shaft driven GL1000 that had a rusty exhaust that would not look out of place on Guy's bike.

Following the Highway Patrol we took Nettleton Road and Kingsbury Drive to get to Serpentine Dam.

The 28's and Kookaburras are getting more aggressive in sourcing sustenance and all of the group were swooped.

Lots of talk about birds taking food in other situations and a bit of a heart to heart discussion.

Back via Kingsbury Drive and South West Highway.

Wildflowers still scarce. A bit of the mini bottlebrush blooming on Nettleton Road.

Thanks to Swampy for running as tail end Charlie.
