Ride Thursday 21st May - Mundaring
.
Now that we have access to our usual ride locations suggest we resume our mid week ride.
So planning to leaving Ascot Shell at 7:15 to meet any of the team at Mundaring Dome to leave around 9:00
Destination to be decided on the day.
I need to home midday so will only be there for the run out.

Great idea Brian! I’ll be there. With a forecast of fine weather suggest we venture into the Wheatbelt - cause we can now! Goomalling or Calingiri comes to mind but Democratically Decided Destination with social distancing will of course be practiced, all suggestions considered. Let’s decide at Dome. Will check if some of our favoured restaurants are open.

Re: Ride Thursday 21st May - Mundaring
I will be attending and Brian Bolton and Steve Nurzo have both expressed their interest in joining us for a ride!!
Dome Mundaring was closed this morning when I passed through there so maybe a Hip Flask will be the order of the day?

Peter, They were still there and providing a good service and food but were a little unhappy with the restrictions only permitting 20 seats for patrons.
The owner will always find something to moan about though!
However it was early early days and there weren't a lot of people anyway and I managed to score a table.
As per requirements you have to provide your name as well as a contact number.
As mentioned in my ride report, there appeared to be a lot of country folk heading in towards Perth but there were also a lot of caravans heading out into the wheat belt towns!!
It will be interesting to see if the Dome in Mundaring is open on Thursday as it was closed and deserted yesterday morning?
But the Lakes Servo serve up a very nice coffee too if people are looking for a heart starter before heading off where ever?

Mundaring Dome is closed for the duration.
A good option is Cafe Mojo in Mundaring, they now open at 08:00 - good coffee, good food and easy parking. 16 Craig Street
Mundaring
Go past the Dome on your left, at the next roundabout turn left, the cafe is around 200 metres on the right.

Some people are like Slinkys, you can't help smiling when you push them downstairs.

Will be at Shell Ascot 0815. Are we locking in Cafe Mojo as the pre-departure meet point in Mundaring?

I am ok for 8:15 Ascot departure.
Mojo sounds good did not realise that they are now opening earlier.

Re: Ride Thursday 21st May - Mundaring
I just punched in a full ride report which mysteriously has evaporated! Bugger! In summary Ross, Digger, Swampy, Eddy, Noel, Nick, Nurzo and I went to the Go Cafe in Goomalling and all returned.
Bloody fantastic to get back out into the Wheatbelt.

It's especially good when the same number return as left.
I repeated the Toodyay - Perth leg that we did yesterday after a bite to eat at the CC Cafe today: Racecourse to Stirlingia(?) to Salt Valley etc then home on Toodyay Rd. Gee, that's a nice little trip through the backblocks, just lovely.
