The weather was behaving in an unusual way with misty drizzle (mizzle), giving way to sun showers followed by full on rain.
Simon's arrival with his newly restored BMW Toaster caused a stampede with a throng surrounding the blinged up bike.

With an assurance that it was blue skies beyond Kalamunda, nine hardy souls left on a Sunday ride to Baker's Hill. Wes, DFS, Drew, Firey Ross, Andrew, Just John, Brian/6 (not Brian/5), Steve and Bozo were rinsed as they travelled past the airport and experienced oragraphic rain as they ascended the scarp to Kalamunda. The mizzle and showers entertained us all the way through Mundaring to the Lakes Roadhouse where a bike rider coming from York advised that the conditions were diabolical with the mist and rain combined with temperature variations fogging up lenses and visors with a slippery road. We were delayed with DFS getting entangled in his wet weather gear in the toilet. Andrew also put on his wet weather gear so conditions improved to the point where we saw the sun at Yarra Road. West Talbot Road was excellent with almost dry surfaces and little storm detritus. Turning onto the York Williams Road we took the top Beverley Road to get to a packed York.
Andrew took off his wet weather gear and immediately a black cloud appeared over Mount Bakewell. A wet and dry run through Spencers Brook to get back to Mizzle at Bakers Hill. Bakery products were consumed and it continued to rain until Andrew put on his wet weather gear. The group felt that Bozo needed reskilling on his ability to forecast the weather and Andrew was requested to keep his wet weather gear on.
A run home through Chidlows and it was a relief to see skies clearing over Perth. Thanks to Steve for doing a great job of tail end Charlie with his quadraspotolific GS.
