Put the dreaded ‘PRO’ PLUG INTO THE BIKES COMPUTER

I have chalked up 2500ks on the new R1250 Rallye Adventure HP since I purchased in May. I put the Pro Plug in to open up the ENDURO PRO AND DYNAMIC PRO MODES. What a difference it has made to the bikes response and feel. I put it in on Monday and have used the bike to travel to work and ride around the city in the Dynamic pro mode. It certainly made the bike feel more spirited and more fun riding. Today I headed out for my favourite dirt ride on Keating road which is about 30 kms of dirt off the Lower Chittering Rd to try out the ENDURO PRO MODE. WOW compared to my old 2009 GSA the new bike is so different. The throttle response is much more direct allowing for easier throttle control. The new ABS settings which calibrate some slip on the front brakes and non on the rear is so much more reassuring when braking. The extra power and smoothness is really noticeable and the quick shift makes gear changing go to another level. The karoo3 tyres now have settled in and in my opinion are comparable with the TKC 80S I had on my old bike although they are a bit noisier

I took some video of the last 10 kms of the ride. the road wasn't as dusty as it normally was but had some slippery mud. off camber tight corners and lots of fairly loos gravel. Great for keeping dirt riding skills current.

Yeh the road doesn't look too challenging, just a nice ride on a reasonable gravel road.
